Project Managed a product feature launch and safe and secure family check-in system.

The Relationship

Since 2001, our team's partnership with Team Church Org. has evolved a modest gathering into a global event. For the 2023 conference, I took the lead in revolutionizing the check-in procedure, introducing a unified system for family registrations that heightened safety and efficiency. This initiative was to solve the problem of having our guests use two separate check-in systems to the conference. I also crafted a dedicated Discord Server to boost conference attendee communication with a collaborative tool for BTS content and more. The success of this effort was underpinned by a hybrid approach that combined the structured sequence of Waterfall with the flexibility of Scrum.

Achieved a remarkable engagement rate, with 51% of conference attendees in a two day period from 34 states and 5 international countries actively participating in the Global Discord server, indicating a high level of impact and community development.

The successful implementation of the unified family check-in system, featuring a mobile setup, revolutionized the conference entry process by streamlining attendee flow and significantly reducing check-in times by an average of 50 seconds returning 25.5 hours of manpower to organizational resource.
